[Bug]: v2rayN fails to connect after reboot on Windows 11 24H2 (only works via TUN, then stops working entirely) #7471

Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (Build 26100.4349), v2rayN 7.12.7 (SelfContained). Tested with both sing-box and xray cores, latest versions

Signs of ability to work in any way

实际情况

After a fresh install of v2rayN everything works fine.
After a reboot or after a few days — v2rayN completely stops working outside of local network.
No external connectivity. Only TUN mode works temporarily. Eventually, even that fails.

When running in PAC or Set System Proxy mode with (and without) the TUN mode:

HttpClient fails with: net_io_readfailure
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: connection was forcibly closed by remote host
Outbound traffic is not blocked by firewall, but doesn’t leave the machine
All connections to 127.0.0.1:10808 report refused, even though port is open and listening

What was tested:

DNS: works (resolves fine)
Route table: flushed via route -f
Winsock: reset via netsh winsock reset
Full removal of all network devices and drivers (WinTUN, WinDivert, VPN interfaces)
Verified config works on Linux and Android, in the same LAN and with the same profile

Related issues:

#7455 — probably similar problem: v2rayN works but eventually stops working.

Install v2rayN + auto-generated and/or edited working profiles
Use PAC or Set System Proxy
Confirm proxy works normally
Actually use the proxy. Change profiles, play with rules, update cores, switch the TUN mode multiple times, reboot the system a few more times,doomscroll the resources that are used through the proxy. Just the usual user behavior. I suspect this error is related to Windows, so I guess there's nothing you can actually do to trigger the bug in v2rayN by itself. It only occur naturally and randomly, after some time
At some point v2rayN is unable to proxy traffic
Use TUN mode. It works for a while, then breaks too. In my case just in a few hours

Encountered issue around 2025-06-19 ~07:00. Was actively using the proxy the whole night, but only have logs from 07:48
