images not shown in the center of the popup

if this is not easy to fix then it would be better to not show a box around the image

another issue i noticed is that when the popup is at the end of the file, the image is drawn outside the window, half cut.

this seems to be the guilty code, or maybe the image rendering code below this, probably the latter.
