Kind of an unrelated ramble there at the end but I do agree that things like this need to be less dependent on closed off discord servers. We should probably move the official UCP releases section to github discussions, although that still wouldn't stop people from posting them in other servers. |

I've converted your issue to a discussion and also added a UCPs category to the discussions area. It's empty right now, but I'll be making a post in the discord shortly encouraging package authors to repost their UCPs there. (Whether or not anyone will actually do that is up to them. We're not going to repost things ourselves without permission from the authors.) |

I just believe there's a serious bug with the BEE2 Community. I feel like there's a serious privilege-checking issue. You see, people tend to put the links to their wonderful creations on the BEE2 Discord channel, but nowhere else. Making it sometimes more or less difficult to actually find the package on a search engine. It might be worth noting that not everybody has access to Discord, let alone willing to provide their phone number because of Discord's predatory, arbitrary and unnecessary requirements. Pray that the phone number won't be arbitrarily denied regardless of its validity. I can take requiring internet to download or update the data, I can take requiring a minimum of skill to make something of your own, but getting an official link to an add-on on github does not need to be this convoluted !! An app, an account, and an invite, just to see link? This is why within the next 10 years, almost every stable house or apartment is going to be developed and sold by big tech (with additional service subscription fees) and there will be a compulsory security system that requires a supported smartphone, online account, always-on and stable internet connection and brand app just for the "owner" to be allowed to enter it, or even run any emergency failsafes. It's because people can't be bothered to check their privilege.
