Description
Here we should be able to now make a git template repo that has most of the ingredients for a pure python project.
We certainly can model such a template repository from CodeEntropy.
- template repository for pure python project
- template readme with boiler plate for badges etc
- instructions on a page on the dev resource, maybe we have a whole section called "Making New Software" and then one of the pages in there "Repository Template" and the instructions in how to setup a new repo from the template, and specifically what information/tokens etc need to be sorted out to become fully functional.
- Instructions for integration with RTD and pypa
- CI template
- CI based release template
- Citation template
- Instructions for citation and pushing to Zenodo
- We could start pointing the dev docs to the general section where we have common instructions for coding standards, tools etc.
Any nice to haves that I'm missing?
