Weird behavior with Tenebra forests

Cutting down a Tenebra from Defiled Lands in a Tenebra Forest causes a weird chain reaction that cuts down a lot of trees in the area.

I'm having a similar problem in a "normal" Biomes O'Plenty (or Vanilla?) forest. Especially with Flowering Oak trees.

Chopping one tree causes a cascade of falling tree tops from multiple trees over quite an area.

• Minecraft - 1.12.2
• Forge - 14.23.4.2759
• TimberJack - 1.6

Mods most likely to be involved:

• Biomes O'Plenty - 7.0.1.2399
• Dynamic Trees - 0.8.1g
• Dynamic Trees BOP - 1.3.1a

No errors in the log file.
Lots of warnings, but they seem to be from different mods than already listed. Quite a few warnings about the server not being able to keep up, especially during the time when leaves were dropping from a dozen trees at once. Also, my frame rate drop to 1 or 2 fps during that time.

@Lykrast Hmm... been a while since I looked at the search algorithm, but that doesn't look right for sure.

@Zarepheth there are supposed to be limiters to prevent lag, not sure what's up there.
