Darwin seems slow in executing this code

I tried this both on Linux and Macos Darwin on an M1 and M3. 

Attempted to replace Qthread with multithreading, pretty much same results. I do not understand why the whole thing seems fast enough when running on linux ubuntu but on Darwin slows down considerably
