Did Eric ever pause working on the game for a bit cause of a mod

Since EliteMasterEric was in the modding community my brain randomly had a question:

"Did he ever just pause his work because of a mod coming out?"

It's just something I thought about.
I just imagine him working on a feature that's been kicking his ass and then he hears that like idfk Mario Madness v2 came out and just goes to play that for the rest of the day.

I just really wanna know if that happened.
