🚀 SOFA-Unreal Kickstarter Launch — The Project Starts Today!

Hi all,

Thanks to everyone who followed the development of the SOFA-UE5 proof-of-concept in this repository.
We’re happy to announce that the full project is now officially launched on Kickstarter.

This PoC proved that native SOFA simulation inside Unreal Engine is technically viable — and now we’re turning it into a complete, open-source plugin with:

• Improving the UE5 components & Blueprints describing SOFA scenes
• Optimizing SOFA Data transfer and Editor-exposed parameters and scene mapping
• Better VisualModel rendering with UE5 materials
• Robotics & medical simulation features
• VR & haptics support
• Example scenes (to be defined during roadmap: surgical, robotics, soft-body demos)
  - And above all: Full documentation and tutorials

Backers will help choose the first official demo scenes and features. So we are waiting for your help!
