Devolo zwave products not able to pair

As devolo is shutting down their wave controller end of this year I tried to pair the devolo zwave products with zigbee2mqtt on HA without success.
Would like to know if anyone had success pairing devolo devices (like thermostats, etc.).
The log is just empty during the pairing process.

Zwave devices cannot be paired to Zigbee hubs (which Zigbee2MQTT is)
