That's correct. However this just made me realize that the current stable version is broken. You have to press "Device Select" twice before pressing the pads actually does anything. I didn't notice it till now. Something to add to the fix list 🙂
It also doesn't work as a toggle, only hold. But you still have to press it twice for it to work.
