Native support for .webmanifest extension was added in Sprockets 4.1 , rails/sprockets#608

The generated file initializers/web_app_manifest.rb breaks the preprocessor for .webmanifest files in Rails 7.x.

It broke for me at Sprockets 4.2.1. 4.2.0 worked with the web_app_manifest.rb initializer, but I had to remove when moving to 4.2.2 and Rails 6.1.7.4 to 6.1.7.6.

same here; upgrading sprockets from 4.2.0 to 4.2.2 broke the manifest in Rails 6.1.7.10
