FanControl Not Detecting Case Fans on SATA-Powered Hub

Hi everyone,

I have 5 case fans (3-pin) connected to a new hub. Everything works fine in the BIOS — I can see the RPM, the fans spin, and the RGB is functional. I set the header where the hub is connected to PWM mode with no smart control.

The issue is that FanControl doesn’t detect any sensors or case fans (CPU, pump, and GPU are all working fine).

The hub also has a remote control that lets me stop or speed up the case fans, and that works (I assume because the hub is powered by SATA).

Does anyone know a solution? From what I can tell, the wiring and connections should be correct.

Do you know if said hub even read that PWM signal? Since it has external/remote control, it might not.

Actually, my hub supports 4-pin PWM fans, so it should be compatible with PWM control. The hub isn’t just a fixed-speed or remote-only device—it’s designed to pass the PWM signal from the motherboard to the connected fans.

Also, when I check with HWINFO, I can see the header and the RPM being reported correctly.

I’m pretty sure the PWM signal should be recognized, which is why FanControl not detecting anything is confusing. Do you think there could be a software limitation, or something specific to the hub model that prevents FanControl from reading the RPM?
