Ifrane CleanTech

Project Overview

Waste management is a major challenge for modern cities. In Ifrane, a city known for its cleanliness and tourism appeal, the waste collection process still faces inefficiencies. Collection truck routes are often static or random, and citizens have no way to report overflowing bins or illegal dumping.

Ifrane CleanTech is a digital, participatory solution that:

• Enables citizens to report waste-related issues in real-time (e.g., full bins, polluted areas, illegal dumps).
• Helps municipal services respond efficiently using a centralized dashboard and exportable data.

Problem Statement

1. No real-time monitoring of waste collection bins.
2. Lack of communication channels between citizens and cleanliness services.
3. No centralized database to analyze and track incidents.
4. Operational inefficiencies and wasted resources (fuel, labor, time).
5. Negative impact on the city's environmental image.

Project Goals

• Enable smart and efficient waste management.
• Engage citizens in keeping their city clean.
• Centralize reports in an exportable (CSV/Excel) database.
• Improve responsiveness of cleaning services.
• Optimize logistical and human resources.
• Promote a green and innovative image of Ifrane.
• Provide decision-making support with real-time data and dashboards.

Project Description

Interactive Web Application

Key Features:

• Real-time citizen reporting:
  • Take a photo of the issue
  • Auto-capture GPS location
  • Add a short description
• Centralized and exportable database:
  • All reports are stored with metadata (photo, GPS, date, time)
• Admin dashboard for municipalities:
  • Interactive map of reports
  • Filters by type, date, location, etc.
  • Status tracking (pending, in progress, resolved)
• Intervention tracking:
  • Before/after photos
  • Comment logs and traceability
