Adding & Editing Events using Tina
We've moved all of the events from our SharePoint list into Tina. Therefore, the editing workflow for adding new events and editing old ones looks a little bit different now.
- go to ssw.com.au/admin | Events - Calendar

- Click on the folder matching the year of the event, then click Add Files.

- Fill out all of the relevant fields for the event. Once you've finished editing the event click Save. There's a lot of fields so feel free to use the table below for reference 🙂. You should be able to add a presenter for the event if they have an SSW People profile. However if you do not see the presenter and they're an SSW Employee consult the Field Table for instructions to add the presenter.
Note: If the event needs to be live streamed let the SSW TV team know you've added the event to the website. They will fill out the livestream URL for the event on the website, you don't need to do it yourself.

- Once you've filled everything out, click the Save button on the bottom right of the screen. You'll need to fill out a name for your save. This name should roughly describe the changes you're making, It's not an exact science so don't worry too much about it 🙂.
Note: The name of your save cannot contain spaces, so use dashes ("-") whenever you need a space.
Figure: Creating a new save for an event
- Go to github.com/SSWConsulting/SSW.Website/pulls. You should see a pull request matching the branch name you entered in step 4.
Figure: The pull request we created in step 4 on GitHub
- Get a link to the pull request by right clicking on it and clicking Copy link address. To get your changes live on the website ping a member of the SSW Website team with a link to your pull request and ask for it to be reviewed. That team member will check the changes you've made for any errors. If they're happy with your changes they'll push them to production and you'll be able to see them live 🙂.
On rare occasions you may need to remove events entirely from our website or make corrections. The flow for doing this is very similar to how you would add events.
- Go to www.ssw.com.au/admin
- Click Events - Calendar in the sidebar
- Click on the folder matching the year of the event you'd like to delete
- When you find the event you'd like to modify, scroll to the right and click the three dots on the right of the event.
- Click on the three dots and either click Delete or Edit depending on which action you're trying to perform.
- When deleting or creating an event, you'll need to create a new save. You can follow steps 4 through 6 under Adding new Events from here to see the event updated or deleted on the live site 🙂
