SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 sound glitching

The issue is that when the program is open and I play audio, the sound becomes distorted and starts glitching
I tried to track down what might be causing it, and so far I’ve concluded that the problem occurs at 32 Hz

I’m attaching a phone recording of the sound coming from the headphones. I was playing a 32 Hz bass video on YouTube and that triggered this sound

Are you maybe talking about a seperate gui application? As you cannot keep this software "open"

Yes, but the issue is specifically with headsetcontrol.exe
If I run headsetcontrol -b, the audio still glitches while a 32 Hz sound is playing

Its probably a hardware defect, -b just ends over HID (not even over usb audio or something like that) a small status packet:
