[Bug]: No errors, but committing doesn't work

Describe the bug

I can't commit. When I press that button, the refresh spinner activates and spins, but in the debug console there isn't any [GitExecutor] logs or errors.

Relevant errors (if available) from notifications or console (CTRL+SHIFT+I)

Also in the recorded logs there are some characters with diacritics. Not sure if that's supposed to be the format for something.
