Actor Fails to Interact with Other Actors After Being Messaged Externally

In my actor, I obtained a reference to its IActorRef via Self. Then, from a regular class, I sent an Ask request to this IActorRef. The handler inside the actor did successfully receive the message and was able to process and reply to it. However, if this handler needs to further access other actors, problems arise. For example, if within this message handler I attempt to perform a ResolveOne, it will always time out. I tried to find the root cause by replacing ResolveOne with an Ask, but the other actors couldn't receive any messages at all.

In the logs, I see
RemoteMessage: ActorSelectionMessage - Message: <Identify> - WildCardFanOut: False - Elements
. The server received the message, but didn't reply. Why is that?
