Description
Installation of a single OTF fonts in Windows 10 works fine, but adding more families/variants of version 7.051 produces an Windows error saying that the font already exists.
Windows afterwards "seems to think" that all variants/families of Libertinus are installed. But, e.g. Matlab 2025a detects only one of them (seems to always be the SERIF SEMIBOLD variant).
- Remove all Libertinus fonts.
- Install them anew via Settings-Fonts in Windows.
- After the first .OTF is installed the following Windows throws error messages.
Additional context
- Installation of version 7.050 and 7.040 OTFs does not throw this error message, but again Matlab does not more than one variant.
- Installation of version 7.051 TTF works fine (if all Libertinus OTF fonts are removed first).
I think this started with Matlab 2025a, but the accompanying Windows error message also suggests something is a bit off. I think I got the steps correct. I did many things trying to install the fonts including cleaning font caches (that I don't mattered in the end) before finally managed to get Matlab to accept the fonts.
