Toggle media playback key crashes app if no track is loaded

Reproduction:
1: install app
2: connect multimedia keyboard (or use a button remapping app in step 4)
3: open app
4: press the media play/pause key
5: and it's gone [crashed]

expected results:
5: random file will play

yes android, there are files in the player, but no track is selected

do not have a good way to record the screen...

i have reinstalled the app and rebooted the phone... now it seems to not crash and nothing happens...

i did toggle the autoplay setting on/off at this point, maybe this makes it trigger?

now i made it happen again, i had to close the app reopen app and try again a few times, eventually the phone says there is a bug in the app and to clear its cache, after doing so i am still able to reproduce it

side note why does it sound like the ODD is power cycling next to me... i have it unplugged where is that noise coming from (distracting)
