Keyboard Layout issues with neo-layout (layer 3 not working and shift triggers layer 5 and hangs there)

Hey there

I’m having an issue with omarchy (probably hyprland?), when setting the input method to neo (-> https://www.neo-layout.org/)

~/.config.hypr/input.conf is

input {
  kb_layout = de
  kb_variant = neo
(...)
}

which is supposed to work according to https://github.com/hyprwm/Hyprland/discussions/5313.

This works fine (at leas for non-capitalized inputs), but as soon a I hit `Shift`, the layout locks and stays in in layer 5 (essentially having numpad on the right hand side of the keyboard). Also layer 3 (caps lock) does not work at all.

Do you have an idea, how I get the `hyprland` setup in `omarchy` up and running? Nun `hyprland` ttys properly get `loadkeys neo` and it just works fine there...

maybe as as addon: i’ve unconfigured all shortcuts which would leverage the `caps lock` key.
