Preserve focus in webviews

When you type the in the input box in one tab (like in google.com type something in the search bar). The cursor is blinking and the input box is focused. Now open a new tab or switch to another tab and come back to this tab, you will find the cursor blicking is gone and the input box is no longer in focus. Is there any way to solve this or bypass it (keep the cursor blicking and input box in focus)?
