Time setting

For future releases, it would be helpful if there was a setting for "check for updates every x" since I enabled the plugin and updates didn't happen right away I am unsure as to when they will run.  I am running WordPress 4.6.1 with a twenty fifteen child theme and very basic plugins at EcoGreenMexico.com.
