Installation failed: Could not create directory.

Hi there, I installed WordPress, when I am going to add plugins it asks for FTP details, when I add the define( 'FS_METHOD', 'direct' ); in the wp-config file, it's showing me "Installation failed: Could not create directory" in plugins section, kindly tell me how I can resolve the issue.

Its a permission issue

Login to the server via root
cd /home/cloudpanel/htdocs
chown -R clp:clp *
