Can we make this a self-organizing directory? #110

Description

@dazzaji

The pull requests keep piling up. Can we make this a self-organizing directory that requires no major sacrifice by any small group to curate but instead relies on the larger community to handle administrivia while maintaining the small group of organizational owners as "just in case it goes off the rails" adult supervision?

  • Proposal: Here is a proposal for making this a self-organizing group that can be used to house this repo and handle smooth operation going forward. If helpful, here is a new organization that can be used for this repo and/or other GitHub lawyer hacks and community building.

  • Overview: The proposal is to use the GitHub API with a little hack to keep a large "team" with rights to merge and doing a lot more automatic vetting of pull requests. Basically, the idea is to add everyone who wants to be listed if they have enough commits (based on API search on user making pull request) and/or also providing write-access to a much broader segment of the community so many people eyes and hands make quick work of curation.
