[Feature Request]: Allow to open a file in an existing instance from the command line

It would be nice if one could open a file from the command line in an already existing Codelite window. Currently, a new instance of Codelite is created.

A new CodeLite instance is opened only when the "Allow only single instance" miscellaneous option is disabled, which is the default (for some reason).

However, even with this option enabled, spam-opening a bunch of files at once (in a shell for loop, for example) can sometimes still bypass this setting somehow (some kind of race condition, perhaps?) and, regardless of its enabled state, still cause one or two additional CodeLite instances to be opened, which is a minor annoyance.

Sorry, I missed this preference. When it is enabled, everything works as expected.

Having a separate config option specifically for CodeLite's command-line interface would still be a good QoL improvement, though. And I fully support your feature request, maybe with minor rewording and slightly modified requirements, but that's it. What do you think?

Thanks for the feedback. I agree because I realized that with the mentioned option enabled, it is not possible to start multiple instances from the (Gnome) launcher. It really would be nice (and I got used to this with geany) to have multiple instances with separate workspaces/projects open and still being able to open a single additional file without creating another additional Codelite instance only for this file.
