Setting Up Certificate

Glad to see this project has still been chugging along! Great updates.

I finally got around to get a certificate from LetsEncrypt and... I'm confused on how I use it. I figured I would need to append the path in the config to

  tlsKey: ""
  tlsCert: ""

LetsEncrypt gave me a .tar file which contained

cert.pem
key.pem
cacert.pem
cakey.pem
cert.crt

I tried appending the file paths for any combination of those files to the key and cert fields (e.g. "C:\filebrowser\key.pem") but every time I launched filebrowser with any of them it immediately closed.

I guess I'm mainly asking if I'm doing something wrong here, because I assume I am lol Any help would be appreciated!

tlsKey => key.pem

And

tlsCert => cert.crt

Have you tried that combination?

Yep. The message I keep getting is:

2025/02/07 11:09:02 [FATAL] : Could not load certificate: tls: private key type does not match public key type

Well, nevermind. It seems using the full path was the issue, and that I need to use key.pem with cert.pem. Removing the full path and just putting the filenames with the files in the same directory as filebrowser.exe worked :)

ah -- yeah I should add path validation for more informative errors, so I will open an issue to fix that so others can get a better hint about why its failing.
