Update to 2025.09.16: OpenDTU don't get Data

What happened?

After Update to 2025.09.16: OpenDTU don't update Data with a uptime of 2 days+

Communication to Inverter (nRF24), Pylontech (CAN) an Victron is not working.

To solve this issue, I need to power cycle OpenDTU.

Maybe a memory issue?

• I believe this issue is a bug that affects all users of OpenDTU-OnBattery, not something specific to my installation.
• I have already searched for relevant existing issues and discussions before opening this report.
• I have updated the title field above with a concise description.
• I have double checked that my inverter does not contain a W in the model name (like HMS-xxxW) as they are not supported.

had this error again, but the Console was empty. Do you know another method to get the Log?

Same for me with a HM-1500 inverter, starting after update to fw 2025.09.16. connection between openDTU and Inverter was lost after some minutes (unfortunately the last setting in the inverter "discharge 6A" was still active an sucked the whole battery before the BMS cut the connection)
I then downgraded to 2025.06.11 and first impression is, that it works stable again.

@indie89 the problem that you are describing is not related to this issue for which everything stopped working, not only the inverter communication.

gibt es eine Möglichkeit das Log aus der Ferne auszulesen, ohne auf das WebInterface zuzugreifen zu müssen.

Hatte mein Board bereits komplett gelöscht und OpenDTU-onBattery neu aufgesetzt.
Leider ist mein Board im Schuppen verbaut, an welchem mittels CAN-Modul die Pylontech Batterie und der Victron BlueSolar dran hängt.

Der Fehler tritt jetzt fast täglich auf, sieht dann so aus, als ob die DTU in einer der Schleifen hängen bleibt, mittels PowerCycle funktioniert die DTU wieder für 1 oder 2 Tage:

gibt es eine Möglichkeit das Log aus der Ferne auszulesen, ohne auf das WebInterface zuzugreifen zu müssen.

Ich hab dazu diesen Mini pc https://ebay.us/m/aK5bzb gekauft und die dtu dort angeschlossen. So kann ich über AnyDesk/teamviewer jederzeit seriallogs aus der Ferne erstellen.
Ein vorhandener PC/Laptop geht naturlich auch

Hui. Bisschen teuer, oder? :) zumindest nur für diesen Zweck

Für findige Bastler: quasi jedes Linuxgerät tut es. Kleiner raspberry oder so. Der per serieller Schnittstelle oder usb TTL mitliest und protokolliert.

Wer bereits einen raspberry oder anderen Server hat, kann auch einen rs232-IP Adapter nehmen. Oder basteln. Tasmota oder so kann das glaube auch.

Der esp32s3 mit nativen usb kann auch mittels usb/ip ins lan gereicht werden :)

Ja, ist etwas teurer. Ich vorher einen alten Laptop, aber mich damit nur geärgert. Daher musste was stärkeres her. Zumal ich ja auch Probleme mit dem Heap hatte... und mehr Leistung ist immer besser.
