Description
I'm using kismet on a Kali 2024.4 (Kismete version: 2023-07-R1) and when I use the web page to view the 802.11 information for the AP, I can see the current Max. Rate for the AP. However, this Max. Rate is suspected to be incorrect as shown below:
I can determine that these two different APs are both WiFi6 (802.11ax) devices and they are both working in WiFi6 mode, the max rate in right image should be 1201Mbps; left image should be 2402Mbps. but the max rates shown in kismet both look like they are under WiFi5 (802.11 ac). Also, the bandwidth of the left image does not correspond to the Max. Rate . The left image shows HT80 (80MHz bandwidth) status, but the following rate cannot be reached at 80MHz.
How did this one lead to this?
Can I see elsewhere what 802.11 protocol the AP is currently using?
Thanks
