Hello!
I can't tell you how excited I am to have discovered this :)

I am the main author of haiku.rag which is a RAG library based on LanceDB and Pydantic AI.
I would like to start working using lance-graph to do structured/graph RAG in addition to traditional RAG that the library already provides.

I am wondering how near you consider you are to releasing this. Also would it be possible to break it into lance_graph and knowledge_graph (or something similar)? I would redo most of the knowledge_graph to fit my needs (and avoid langchain) but can see how this is useful to have to complement lance_graph.

Hi @ggozad, thanks for your interest!

Yes, we do have a plan to release the project soon. While, I personally lean towards one Python release instead of two at this moment, since the project is under very active development and we don't want to maintain two Python packages at the same time.

I have made LANCE_RELEASE_TOKEN publicly accessible, you should be able to use it to run the necessary github workflows to create release. I think the easiest way to bootstrap the release workflow is to follow the one in https://github.com/lance-format/lance-namespace, it is more lightweight than the one in Lance (no release candidate, release branch, etc.), and it also contains logic to publish to pypi and crate.io.

Let me check if I need to do any preparation for cargo and pypi, I recall some work needs to be done in pypi...

@ggozad Just would like to let you know that we've released the Python package (https://pypi.org/project/lance-graph/).
From my understanding, you only need the Python interface of Cypher queries, so the first example (Simple Cypher Query) would probably fit your use case.
