Icons effect actions alignment

The width of the icons in the actions menu on iOS can push the action text out of alignment. The images also seem to be aligned left.
Is there anyway to access the styles of action icons/text?
You can see "teacher action plans" below is mis-aligned as are Profile/Password and logout.

In the mean time do you have any suggestions on how to use a custom view to overlay a menu? Is it as easy as just putting a view above the one calling Turbolinks
