Is there anyway to 'shrink' the context of validation?

I am using this in a Meteor Validated Method.

validate: PropertySchema
    .getObjectSchema('xxxx.$')
    .extend(PropertySchema.pick('url'))
    .validator({ clean: true }),

Now in that ObjectSchema there is an attribute which isn't passed into the ValidatedMethod (an ID which is yet to be generated).

How can I shrink, or exclude that key?

@cstrat Does it work to add .omit('_id') before the .validator line?

I read and re-read the docs looking for something like this but missed that. I was searching for exclude. 🤦🏼‍♂️
