Zooming/Looping #61
Description
It would be very helpful to enable the user to 'zoom in' on a particular area of the chart and play that.
The workflow would be something like:
- Play chart.
- Press a key to place a marker for the start of the region to be zoomed; the chart continues playing.
- Press a key to place a marker for the end of the region to be zoomed; the chart now plays the selected region. For users of assistive technologies, a live region could be used on the page to indicate the progress of this process, and that only the selected area is to be played.
Questions:
- What should be mark key be?
- Should the standard play/pause key (Space) be used to play/pause within the "zoomed" region, or should a different key be used (seems best to keep it simple and re-use the standard Space key.
- Visual callbacks will have to be implemented/created for supported visual chart types.
