When Self-hosting docs?

I'd like self hosting it to deep learning the codebase and add some changes for my specific use cases, when releasing docs? Is this already in your roadmap?

It's been 6+ months, is there or will there be a plan to enable people to self-host it with ease? @pontusab .

Sorry to ping, but it looks like this has been asked in the Discord and here with no responses anywhere?
Is there steps to go in the right direction to get it done or to even help finish the documentation?

It's advertised twice on the front page as being in the FAQ and has been for a very long time. aswell as other points to be "self-hosted" but.. yeah

yes after v1, we can't focus on self hosting until we are profitable because we are self funded and only me as the engineer.

Once we are out of beta we will set the direction for the next months!

I wanted to share that I managed to get it running, and I must say—it’s excellent! The amount of effort and thought put into this project is evident.

I understand why the self-hosting documentation hasn’t been finalized yet, considering the complexity involved and the fact that you're working solo.

I wanted to suggest something that might help with revenue generation and broader adoption: perhaps introducing a licensing model similar to what Unraid uses could be worth exploring and exclude some type of enterprise usage or whatnot.

This could allow users like me who value the project—to contribute financially while still enabling self-hosting as an option for those who prefer it

It might also help sustain development while balancing profitability. Just a thought!

Personally, I haven't managed to self-host it on docker or vercel, there are too many grey areas. Some people have succeeded, I hope they'll share their method ^^

Recommend downloading the project and having Claude Code with a bunch of documentation specific sub-agents write up your own version of docs.

It'll cost around $100 or so in 4.1 tokens but if you are serious about getting it to work locally this might be a path forward.

been working nonstop for 2 years building midday, also it's still just 1 engineer (me), haven't had a salary during this time, it's important to understand that I can't prioritize self-hosting until the business is sustainable?

oh and we are also self funded, with 1 sponsor of $5/m

I started this thread a year ago. These 2 guys have shipped more features than a 50+ employees in sf.

I used midday while in free beta then I was a customers for some months paying the deal. I stopped my sub only cause I'm not having a good business yet.

I'll put my money on the basket as soon as I can to support this two amazing guys.

Only a big clap for you two, keep going and leave this thread in standby. Not needed at all.
