Summary

This SEP extends the metadata capabilities across the MCP protocol by adding icon support for Tools, Resources, Resource Templates, and Prompts. The Rust SDK needs to implement support for icon URIs that clients can fetch and display, enabling better visual organization in tooling interfaces and creating a more polished and intuitive interface for end users interacting with MCP-powered applications.
