how can i know when a notification is sent to a channel

I am trying to create a simple system where it user type the id of his notify.run channel and then the service  alert the user with a sound alert when he receive a notification on the channel id he typed. Can you please give me a way to know where a notification is sent to my channel (i need a code in vanilla JS). All help is welcome and i need a solution quickly.
