Your Idea

Did you know that uv init comes with the --bare flag?

So

uv init mcp-client --bare

Would remove the need for:

# Remove boilerplate files
del main.py

A very minor thing but I found the boilerplate default quite annoying myself which is how I know about it lol

You also don't need to do uv venv if you're running uv add .... Running uv venv is only really helpful if you want to enforce specific pre-reqs like py version. Eg: uv venv --python 3.12
