Only able to scan a limited amount of times.

I found after using scan a few times in a row it stops finding the device I’m looking for. After resetting the program it is able to find the device again.  Is there a way to clear the pygatt scan memory without resetting the backend or adapter?
I’m using bled112 with bgapi backend.
