Any reason to use Export-PnPListToSiteTemplate?

Is there any advantage / reason to use ...

Export-PnPListToSiteTemplate -List "MyList" -Out "MyListScheme.xml"

... instead of ...

Get-PnPSiteTemplate -ListsToExtract "MyList" -Out "MyListScheme.xml"

I have generally used Get-PnPSiteTemplate but just noticed the Export-PnPListToSiteTemplate cmdlet and wondering if this is a better option / does something that Get-PnPSiteTemplate doesn't.
