Are there those who are interested in running premake5 on WIndows XP?
at Premake 5.0.0-alpha12 released(official) "premake5.exe" could be run on the Windows XP.
But, after alpha13 or later could not.
So, I tried to build premake5 for Windows XP using Visual Studio 2015.
(so, I manually changed some project settings to use v140_xp tool-set and so on.)
and then, I noticed that
os.mkdirdoes not properly working.for example
--to=somewhereoption was not working.and, I do some research. and, after that I noticed...
statfunction (which is used in thedo_mkdirfunction in "os_mkdir.c") returns an error. witherrnoset toEINVAL.which happens when slash charactor was used for path separator.
and, which happens on static CRT only.
the DLL version of the CRT works fine.
and also, Visual Studio 2013 works fine with static CRT.
So, I'm now using premake5beta6 built with VS2013.
Thank you for the Great tool!
English is not my native language. So my English may be weird.
