pyalarmdotcomajax is now v0.6.0-beta.1. That's the library that powers the integration and can only be tested via cli. The actual Alarm.com integration is now in v4.0.0-beta.1 and can be installed via HACS. To install, in your HA instance, go to HACS -> Alarm.com, click on the 3 dots on the top left, and go to Download. Click on "Need a different version?" and select the beta version, then install and restart Home Assistant. |

Not sure about the best place to report, but for the record I've been on v4.0.0-beta.2 for a couple of hours and as far as I can tell stuff keep working much as before, the primary difference I can see in the logs is that sensors (such as my motion detector and front door) now log "Became unavailable" a while after each expected log entry. Perhaps this is just a side effect of the restructure as it tentatively does not seem harmful. Let me know if I should dig deeper in the logs (they are still on verbose). |

Stupid question. Can I unzip the source and put one of the folders in the custom component folder or is the only way to test the beta through the cli?
