WIFI password - special characters

Hi,

I have set up the ESP32. I am struggling in adding the device to my WIFI since my password consists of special characters like %@;

It seems that this is causing an issue. I have tried to quote this by using "" but will not work either.

Does somebody has a clue how to resolve the issue?

the '%' ist the problem because it is used as marker for variables from the AsyncWebserver class...
but there is workaround:

// by JG 26.04.2024 trick for sprintf '%' modifier
sVal.replace('&','%');

so replace '%' with '&'
(i hope you have no '&' in your Password 😉)

Can you advise how to deal with characters @ and ;

'@' should work ( but not tested) , but ';' is used as end of variable marker...sorry...so you have to modify the source code or your password.
