slide/presentation workflow discussion
talked with fellows and MSL team about their workflows, looking for things that would be (a) essential and (b) desirable in a slide/deck tool
workflows
- make one or a few slides and use them to storyboard, before then breaking out into more, and more detailed, slides
- copy and paste stuff from existing decks, mostly reusing things that were already made
essential
- pull in slides from (keynote | google docs)
- rearrange elements on the page, draw (vector) stuff on the page and edit the design
- rearrange slides within a deck
desirable
- collapse sections of a talk
- group slides in sets that relate to a specific topic
- tag slides, sets and decks
- compose a deck from existing sets and slides
- storyboard a deck before building it
