Experience says it’s rough a weekend of work for a first release of a connector, but it does not make sense to start without having access to a car for testing. |

Hi @tillsteinbach, I am interested in an Audi connector as well. While not beeing a professional programmer I have some experience in Python and willing to give it a try. I have a Audi Q3 to test with. Any hints on how to start? |

First thing would be to figure the authentification out. When that is working you need to find the endpoints for data. If you are lucky you can find hints in other open source projects. When you are at that point you can start implementing the connector. Reading and understanding any of the already available connectors will be helpful. |

I also have an Audi since yesterday (Q6 e-tron) and was using weconnect-mqtt for my former ID.4. Now I need a solution for the Audi and am willing to test :-) How can I help? |

Well, the authentication issue is not solved yet. As I am not a professional programmer I am more trying on error, comparing the different current connectors for structure etc. I think I found at least one of the urls now - got some further I think last run and a different error :-) need to spend some more time, travelling at the moment.
I guess what this says, options is still needed before testing.

I now have a working connector that is able to retrieve the data for my car. Can send start - stop command for charging as well. for now this is available here: https://github.com/acfischer42/CarConnectivity-connector-audi - look for the last release. please test: @Peter1984Git |

I found Pulpyyyy's repo: Pulpyyyy/carconnectivity-addon#82 maybe that helps. I test with Python directly so far. |

Hey all, if the audi connector is sufficient stable I would love to add it to the list of connectors on the homepage and package it with the rest docker image. Any feedback? And congrats to @acfischer42 for being the first author of an independent connector! 👍 |

Peter,
Use the matt container Till has published. That one works perfectly fine. Add the Audi connector in the config with your data. The package will be installed automatically.
This worked for me. And is running stable for 4 days now. I successfully start and stop charging.

Hereby I can confirm - runs great under docker / portainer with Audi Q6 e-tron. Now I have tons of data via MQTT. 💯 Just for understanding: Where are the data pulled from? Does the connector wake up the care every 10 minutes (depending from the configured interval) oder does it pull the data from the Audi Servers where the data is anyway? |

Nice. Thanks for letting me know.
My understanding is that the data comes from Audi servers, and the car
send only at some interval. There are timestamps in the data.
Probably the discussion on details or issues should move to the

Hi, one short question, we see all brands from the Volkswagen group but Audi is missing - is there a reason? I´m just a user and I could install the docker version with connection to my Cupra - great that it works so well!!! Connected everything to Home Assistant - so happy that I have a solution for the Cupra again. But I have an Audi as well and would like to use the same system too. For Home Assistant I have an integration which works well but I hate to use two different systems for the date. Would be great if somebody can create the Audi connector too. I can test if needed ;-)
