Feature Suggestions and Implementations

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your work on this project. I've been using it daily, and so far it's working really well.
I have a couple of wishlist items as an end user. The biggest one is a percentage slider, as I mentioned the other day. I've already done some initial work to implement this. This is a bit of a learning exercise for me, since I’m new to wxWidgets and C++, but so far my changes seem to be working.
I'm happy to submit a pull request if you'd like, and would appreciate any feedback—especially if you think any changes are needed.
The second item is remembering the user's position once a document is exited, which I think would be a really useful feature. I’m not as sure how to approach this, but wondered if you’ve done any initial work on it, or have any ideas?

Hi there,
My thoughts on a percentage slider are as follows:

1. I don't personally really want it in the main UI's tab order, that feels cluttered to me.
2. The go to dialog currently lets you jump to a percent. For example, instead of a line number, you can type 49%, and be taken 49% of the way through your document. However, there currently is no way to view the current percentage through a document, which I'm trying to think of how do address. I had a couple thoughts on this.
   • show the percentage in the status bar.
   • Allow pressing control shift g instead of just control g to populate the go to text field with your current percentage, not the current line number.

Thoughts?
I also fully agree about position saving in documents, I've been working as a software development intern this summer so have had less time for passion projects, but this one is right next on my list for sure, as it'd make me use Paperback daily a lot more.

Completely understandable, that all sounds good to me.
I quite like the idea of having the percentage in the status bar, and agree that it would cut down on clutter if it wasn't a slider.
The functionality to jump via percentage is already in the goto dialogue,, so all we need now is a way to view where the user is currently.
Let me know what you think, I can either try to tackle this, or if it's something you want to work on yourself that's all good as well.

I'm definitely not opposed to doing it myself, but I'm certainly not opposed to contributions either and they would be quite appreciated! If you feel so inclined feel free to open a pull request, if not I'll do it when I next have some time.
