How to give a team access to a website?

I have several websites set up. I now wish to grant access to certain people to certain websites.

I thought it would be something like:

• create team A
• share website 1 with team A
• create user
• put user in team A
• user has access to website 1.

But no. I created a team and put a user in it, but they have no websites. Clicking add website asks for name+domain, and entering that just sets up a new website, which is, of course empty of data.

How can I give access to a pre-existing website with stats in it to another user?

I'm afraid the docs at https://umami.is/docs/teams-guide did not help.

It looks like there is now an option to 'transfer' sites; as an admin you should be able to move the pre-existing sites over to team ownership.
