Unable to recive datadog logs

Question

Hi all, i am trying to consume logs for aws lambda using datadog_agent source with vector.

i'm reciveing metrics.

but source is failing when logs are coming

how can i fix this? is this fixable?

Hi @amribm, it is not possible to answer this without more information. It seems like the input is not json. Have you tried removing

decoding:
      codec: json

? I'd suggest following https://vector.dev/guides/developer/debugging/ and specifically the section about vector tap which will provide some more insight

Without decoding yields same result.

but when i use http_server source and print the output it is a json.

Please include your full config. It's likely something is incorrect with it but it's not possible to see from the snippet you posted.
