Sonicwall config won't work if you need to restore firewall configuration

Hello, I am saving Sonicwall Firewall settings (i use Oxidized via LibreNMS) and configs are created.

If I try a restore, it fails because there are many errors while importing (e.g. Error encountered on line number 103 at '^' marker:) and if anyway I commit changes, the firewall won't start.

The file in fact has all the information needed, but it differs from the TXT file I can create via CLI (there are spaces).

Looking at sonicos.rb file I see it calls the show current config command
When I export manually Sonicwall configuration in txt file I have to launch two different commands (config and then export current-config cli ftp or export current-config exp ftp with the ftp path, credential and file name

Sonicwall CLI format is PITA. It's better than no CLI at all, just about. But I don't think that whitespace is significant in SonicOS commands.
We are using Oxidized merely to track changes, not as a backup mechanism [except changes to keys - because the 'show ...' command randomises the keys every time you show them!].
You need to examine exactly what the error is. There is a UUID there - I think that UUIDs are read-only, so that's what it is choking on. Once you fix that you will probably find it will choke because some address group was defined before the member address objects, an address object fails because it references a zone that doesn't exist yet, etc...

I suggest you remove your backups from Github because it contains your public IPs, usernames and passwords, etc.

Thanks also for your advice, it was only a test, nothing was real on that configuration :-) (and the appliance is offline)
anyway I removed both files.
