File nesting

File nesting is a VSCode feature that groups together files.

Is there an API in zed's code to work with to make that happen currently? Do/can extensions have access to the worktree in some way (for such structural visual changes) actually?

I don't think extensions have access to the worktree yet. There's currently 6 types of extensions and I think none of them can modify the worktree as far as I know

This is basically the only last thing I need from zed to switch from vscode. Do we know anything about extending extensions in future?
