I'm developing a zed extension and want to appear some text in status bar

Hi folks,

I'm working on developing a zed extension, where I need to parse a file, and then appear it's content in Zed status-bar. So far I have 2 questions:

• I cannot find a method, that will run the check whether the certain file exists in the project, e.g. onLoad or smth.
• I cannot find a way to show a certain text in the status bar
