Not really sure if this should be a discussion or a bug report, considering it's relatively minor and may be outside of Zed's control.
In Balanced/Power Save power profiles scrolling in Zed does not feel so smooth on a 144Hz screen; this can be confirmed by using mangohud to monitor frametimes (they still aren't perfect in the Performance profile but much improved). While it's somewhat expected for the Power Save profile, having to switch from Balanced to Performance profile just to have a smooth experience with a text editor is a bit unexpected and the constant extra fan noise is not nice.
It's worth noting that Gnome Builder doesn't exhibit this issue and feels incredibly smooth on the Balanced profile; mentioning it since switching between the two editors makes the issue really apparent. Additionally, enabling adaptive sync for Zed using window rules seems to improve the situation a bit.
